The nature of the programmes undertaken by public authorities require the level of service, reliability and confidentiality that has always been associated with Antec Appraisals. We have been retained on many occasions to prepare reports, submit recommendations and develop implementation strategies with respect to:
- the acquisition of utility and transportation corridors, easements, and facility sites;
- utilization studies and recommendations as they affect the disposition of surplus lands and buildings;
- compensation settlements for expropriations, injurious affection claims, or damages;
- attendance before the courts, boards, and regulatory tribunals to provide expert testimony.
Some of the programmes and projects in which we have played a significant role include:
- a massive land assembly undertaken by a regional conservation authority as part of a major flood control project;
- numerous highway, county and municipal road acquisition appraisals for new corridors and widening projects throughout Southern and Southwestern Ontario.
- a valuation report and technical evidence, along with supportive testimony with respect to the extension of utility corridors connecting generating facilities and distribution centres throughout Western Ontario;
- feasibility studies with regard to the expansion and facility improvements for major medical centres, schools, colleges, universities, and airports in Ontario;
- assessments, in co-operation with our engineering associates, of properties affected by environmental issues, to estimate the impact on value, future uses and remedial costs.
